WIBISCO and Tridents play together

The Barbados Tridents will have the support of one of Barbados’ iconic brands as they prepare for the 2017 Caribbean Premier League. WIBISCO’s Shirley biscuits have signed on with the team as a sponsor for this year’s campaign. During a recent meet and greet between the sponsors and members of the team, Abigail Brown, WIBISCO’s Brand Manager, heralded the partnership. She said, “Much like cricket, our Shirley biscuits are well loved and identified throughout the region and internationally.” She added, “The WIBISCO team is very excited and looks forward to engaging the Barbadian community during the series.”

Ms. Brown confirmed the Tridents sponsorship was a great strategic fit for WIBISCO as they are also a sponsor of the Barbados Cricket Supplies Under-13 Cricket Tournament. Jason Harper, the Tridents CEO, said the team was excited about the partnership with WIBISCO. He added, “Together the Tridents and WIBISCO will deliver to fans and customers never before done products and activations. We look forward to a winning partnership.” Dwayne Smith, Shemar Springer, Ryan Wiggins and Ramon Reifer joined Coach Vasbert Drakes and manager Kirk Greaves at WIBISCO’s head office.

Each player took the opportunity to sample the three flavours of the Shirley biscuits, each declaring their favourite. Now in its fifth year, the 2017 Caribbean Premier League begins on 4th August and will run to 9th September.
